A joint meeting of representatives from Lexington , Circle Pines and Lino
Lakes was held on March 31, 1969 at the Lexington village hall to discuss
the confusion to motorists as a result of the exit signs which have been
placed on 35W at the old Highway 8'exit leading into Lexington, Circle
Pines and Lino Lakes.
Present were: Mayor Robert Morstad, Lexington; Arthur Otte, member of the
Lexington Planning Board; Mayor Lende Anderson and Trustee Ken Uthe, Circle
Pines and Trustee Bill Bohjanen, Lino Lakes.
A resolution was passed as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED that the State Highway Department place an overhead
sign at the exit of 35W and Old Highway 8, naming Lexington and
Circle Pines on the sign, and relocating the present Lake Drive sign
to the 35W and Highway 8 junction in Lino Lakes.
Further reference was made to the resolution passed recently by the Anoka
County Board of Commissioners to support the villages in their request
on informative signs they feel necessary.
Each village council is to act on this resolution which will be forwarded
to the State Highway Department, Senator Tom Grieg, Representative Vgrn
Plaisance and County Commissioner Robert Burman after all councils have
acted on the resolution. °
