Meanwhile the council or other governing body shall take <br />measures for the election of proper officials and for dividing the city into wards, if nec- <br />essary, and otherwise prepare for the coming change. <br />History: (1265) RL s 746; 1951 c 348 s 1; 1959 c 510 s 1; 1978 c 489 s 1 <br />410.015 DEFINITIONS RELATING TO CITIES. <br />The term "statutory city" means any city which has not adopted a home rule char- <br />ter pursuant to the constitution and laws; the words "home rule charter city" mean any <br />city which has adopted such a charter.
