Park Board <br /> June 2 , 1980 <br /> ,PAge Three <br /> - Someone suggested that the large parking lot would be better used for <br /> tennis courts . This person was told this is not a fundable project for <br /> a grant application . Also, this is a matching fund grant . Mrs . Liljedal <br /> briefly listed some of the items from the survey that had a high priority <br /> as to the peiple 's wants . The interest indicated by the JC 's was noted <br /> and perhaps there are some of these things that can be tanken over by that <br /> organization. <br /> There was discussion on preparing comprehensive plans for Sunrise Park and <br /> the Country Lakes Park. There was a suggestion of using personnel from <br /> the University of Minnesota . Mr. Schumacher was asked to contact these <br /> people . <br /> Mr. Johnson moved to authorize Mr. Schumacher to contact personnel from <br /> the Uninversity of Minnesota for the completion of comprehensive park plans <br /> for Sunrise Park and the Country Lakes Park. Secnonded by Mr. Shaughnessy . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Mrs . Liljedahl suggested that the Park Board get together and take a field <br /> trip of the City Parks . This tour was tentatively set for June 30, 1980 <br /> at 4 : 30 P.M. To meet at the City Hall . Mr. Schumacher and Mr. Volk will <br /> accompany the Board on this tour. Mrs . Anderson to send a reminder to all <br /> Board members . - Mr. Sahughnessy moved and Mr . Johnson seconded the <br /> motion carried unanimously . <br /> Meeting adjourned. <br />
