September 19, 1977 <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park, Recreation and Environmental Commission was <br /> called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Vice-Chairman Gredvig. Members present: Ringaman, <br /> Scherer, Liljedahl , Averbeck, Gredvig. Members absent: Olson, Resch. Mr. Schneider, <br /> Council liason was also present. <br /> Mr. Scherer moved to approve the August 15, 1977 minutes as presented. Mrs. Liljedahl <br /> seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Resch was not present to give his report. <br /> Mr. Schneider's Report <br /> Mr. Schneider stated he had scheduled a meeting at his house for September 21 , 1977 at <br /> 7:00 P.M. with some members of the Centennial Hockey Assn. and Mr. Volk. He invited <br /> Mr. Ringaman to attend to represent the Park Board. <br /> This meeting is to see what labor can be anticipated from the Hockey Assn. for construct- <br /> ion of a new hockey rink at Sunrise Park. After this decision is reached the Council <br /> will give final approval . The, money for the construction of the rink will come from <br /> the road fund. <br /> Mr. Schneider reported that the public hearing for the plat Rohavic Oaks was held Sept. <br /> 22, 1977 and money in lieu of land was requested from that plat. <br /> There is a sewer assessment of about $2,700.00 due on LaMotte Park. This will be paid <br /> before December 31 , 1977 to avoid any interest payment. <br /> Old Business <br /> Mr. Schneider stated that the 1978 budget is about 99% complete. <br /> Mr. Gredvig suggested that all signs in all parks be the same. Mr. Schneider said it <br /> was his understanding that they would be the same except at Lino Park the Lions may <br /> add something to the sign to let the public know the Lions are involved with the devel- <br /> opment of the park. Mr. Schneider will have more to report on this matter next month . <br /> There was no New Business or Other Reports. <br /> Mr. Schneider said he has had some contact with Blaine and there is the possibility that <br /> the City of Blaine will contribute something to maintain the hockey rink at Sunrise Park. <br /> Mr. Schneider said the meeting with Mr. Kronholm for this evening had been cancelled. <br /> Another meeting will be rescheduled. This meeting was to determine the Park land ded- <br /> ication for Country Lakes. <br /> Mr. Scherer moved to adjourn at 8:35 P.M. Mrs. Averbeck seconded the motion. Aye. <br />
