June 21 , 1976 <br /> + The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Parks, Recreation and Environmental <br /> Commission was called to order at 8:01 P.M., June 21 , 1976 by Chairman <br /> Resch. Members present; Ringaman, Scherer, Hanson, Liljedahl and Gredvig. <br /> Members absent; Olson. Council Liaison Schneider and Councilman Karth <br /> were also present. <br /> 1,1r. Cape, Civil Defense Director requested the use of the warming house <br /> at Sunrise Park July 6, 8, 13, 15, and 20 and 22 for the purpose of con- <br /> ducting Fire Arm Safty classes. The classed would be held from 7:00 to <br /> 8:00 P.N. on these dates. Mr. Ringaman asked why he wanted to use the <br /> warming house for this purpose and Mr. Cape said th,'t is what he used in <br /> the past. <br /> Mr. Scherer moved to recommend the use of the warming house for Fire Arm <br /> Safty classes July 6 through the July 23rd. Seconded by Mr. Ringaman. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Glen Simonson of 1566 La Motte Drive was introduced by Chairman Resch. <br /> Mr. Simonson was told by Mr. La Motte that there is a 60 foot public access <br /> to Centerville Lake. Mr. La Motte said he had given this access to the <br /> City of Lino Lakes. Mr. Simonson and some of his neighbors would like <br /> a foot path and a bridge across the ditch constructed so that the residents <br /> of the area can dock boats and generally use the area. <br /> Mr. Gredvig arrived at 8: 10 P.M. <br /> Discussion followed as to whether or not this was City property. Mr. <br /> Karth brought a map showing the 60 foot area. The Commission decided it <br /> would have to determine whether or not this was City property before they <br /> cou I d answer i1r. S i monson's request. <br /> Mr. Schneider asked 1Irs. Anderson to check with the Clerk and Mr. McLean <br /> and determine if this area is City property and then let him know. <br /> 11r. Ringaman said that if it is City property maybe Mr. Gotwald should <br /> look at it and suggest how to improve it. <br /> Mr. Gredvig suggested to Mr. Simonson that the area residents could devel- <br /> ope the access after it is determined if it is City property. Mr. Simon- <br /> son said this was possible. <br /> [Irs. LiIjedahl arrived at 8:20 P.M. <br /> Mr. Gredvig moved to approve the April 19, 1976 minutes. Seconded by <br /> Mr. Scherer. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 14r. Ringaman noted that Mr. McLean said he would be at the meeting this <br /> evening to give the Commission details on the Open Space program.
