Mr. Karth explained <br /> the low spot to the Commission. Mr. Ringaman said he had sand fill . <br /> Mr. Karth said it could be stock piled at City Hall for future use. Mr. <br /> Karth will talk to Mr. Volk about it. <br /> Mr. Jim Hill 's son is trying to earn his Eagle Scout Badge and had talked <br /> to Mr. McLean about planting trees and bushes at Lino Park. The Metropol- <br /> itan Training Center f.- d denoted 40 trees and bushes for planting at Lino <br /> Park. MR. Schneider asked Mr. Hill to have his son present an arrangement <br /> for using the trees and bushes that are available to the City. <br /> Mr. Karth said ther is an area behind the backstop on the s.w. side of the <br /> balifield that ;.ets conjested when a game is in progress. He suggested <br /> that the picnic table be moved and possibly some snow fence put up. This <br /> area could be used for pitcher warm up. <br /> Mrs. Liljedahl moved to recommend to the Council that snow fence be placed <br /> behind the backstop on the west corner for protection of the spectators. <br /> Seconded by Mr. Gre4Ag. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> La Motte Park <br /> n Mr. Gredvig said it is all open area and ready for development. He said <br /> nothing much can be done until more money is available. He would like <br /> to see a couple of tennis courts there. <br /> City Hall Park <br /> Mrs. Liljedahl reported that more parking areas are needed. She said it <br /> was dangerous as it is now. She suggested that an area between the two <br /> ballfields be made suitable for parking. <br /> Mr. Karth said a partial driveway that is in that area could be upgraded. <br /> Mr. Resch showed the Commission his map locating the proposed parking areas. <br /> Mrs. Liljedahl moved to recommend to the City Counclithat a culvert be <br /> installed for permanent driveway to the parking area between the two ball- <br /> fields and that snowfence or railroad ties be used to mark the parking areas. <br /> Seconded by Mr. Gredvig. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Ringaman asked when the limerock will arrive. Mr. Schneider said he <br /> would have to check the financial situation. <br /> Mr. Gredvig asked when the Commission should start working on the 1977 <br /> budget figures. Mr. Resch said very soon. <br /> Mr. Volk's Park Work Schedule was discussed. i4r. Schneider felt there <br /> could be better communications. Mr. Resch said he would like to talk to <br /> Mr. Volk. <br /> Mr. Scherer asked if the City could contract all the mowing and park care? <br /> Mr. Karth explained that the city's mower is inadequate for heavy use. <br /> Mr. Ringaman felt if areas were cleaned before they were mowed the mower <br /> would last longer. <br />
