FRIENDS OF THE PARKS MEETING <br /> October 18, 1994 <br /> The meetings was called to order at 7 : 04 . Members present <br /> were Diane Jensen, Georgia Herrick, Joe Schmidt, Jacquelyne <br /> Farm and Bill Frogner. Others present was Marty Asleson, <br /> Park, Recreation, and Forestry Coordinator. <br /> Carry over minutes - February 21, 1994, March 21, 1994 and <br /> April 14, 1994 . Friends of Park requires minutes for memory <br /> and structure. The mailing is a good reminder. Georgia <br /> Herrick will talk to John Bergeson to suggest an alternate <br /> to produce minutes . <br /> Minutes from September 20, 1994 . Marty Asleson reviewed the <br /> minutes . <br /> A. Corrections : * Ace Solid Waste gave $670 . 00 <br /> * Bill attended the meeting <br /> * The motion to spend $30 on plaques <br /> was approved. <br /> New Business - Need volunteers to <br /> go neighborhood meetings - Start <br /> with Martha and Joe . <br /> * Martha will go to Recreation Focus <br /> Committee meetings . <br /> * Joe will go to Park Board meetings . <br /> * $18 . 65 raised from popcorn sales . <br /> Motion to approve minutes, as corrected, was made by Jackie <br /> and seconded by Bill . MINUTES WERE APPROVED. <br /> OLD BUSINESS• <br /> A. Postal meter interchange: Joe stated no decision has <br /> been made on the postal meter. Concern was expressed on <br /> wasting money on full price postage and City administrative <br /> charges . Joe suggested dealing direct with the postoffice. <br /> Marty has researched a bulk permit for non-profit . Joe will <br /> follow up with Marty. Bill and Jackie moved to authorize <br /> Joe to apply for a bulk mail permit . MOTION WAS APPROVED. <br />
