C I T Y 0---F-- <br /> 'PON <br /> INO LAW <br /> Summary <br /> Enclosed are summaries for time spent in different activities in <br /> the Departments of Park, Recreation and Forestry. These <br /> summaries are for work performed between the dates of January, <br /> 1994 through April, 1994 . We should have a more up to date <br /> summary in the near future. Also, please find enclosed a section <br /> on recreation program summaries. <br /> The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Departments have been very <br /> busy this year meeting the challenges of rapid growth. The <br /> following summarizes the progress to date of the major issues for <br /> each department. <br /> Parks: The projects for 1994 are Park Board goal driven. <br /> Primarily, these projects are based on the priority of order as <br /> established by the board. Development projects have been <br /> scheduled after the normal maintenance and routine work schedules <br /> have been accomplished. <br /> Recreation Complex: A concept is presently being worked on. <br /> A rendering of this complex should be presented at the August <br /> Park Board meeting for discussion and then to the Council for <br /> review. <br /> Shores of Marshan Park, Park Headquarters: Staff is moved <br /> in. Turf establishment for this park area will occur later in <br /> August for best seeding time reasons. A substantial amount of <br /> the boardwalk trail is in as of July 19. <br /> Park Grove Park: Rough graded, top soil spread and tilled. <br /> Fine grading and seeding will occur in August. <br /> Country Lakes Park: Engineering for trails and parking lot <br /> move presently being worked on. Brush clearing for this park and <br /> Wood of Baldwin Lake will occur in two weeks. <br /> Concepts for Undeveloped Parks: Meeting is set with <br /> Birchwood neighborhood. Contact has been made with the <br /> Brandywood neighborhood.
