AGENDA ITEM
STAFF ORIGINATOR Marty Asleson
DATE April 1, 1994
TOPIC Trappers Crossing Update
AChGR01 ND
Please find attached a copy of the trail crossing from Trappers
Crossing to Birch Park with the developers best estimate of the
shortest wetland area to span. I have walked this area with Kate
Drewery, the Administrator for the Rice Creek Watershed and it
appears that this area is probably as short as anywhere.
I also met with Jean Cummings to look at the concerns that she had.
As you recall, Jean had some concerns for land-locked parcels,
trail liability concerns, and concerns for developing her land to
the west. I will update you on these concerns at the meeting.
We have the potential to add to our park acreage totals to come
closer to standard needs for this area, particularly if dedication
is taken on the south-west side of the park when jean Commings
develops the area to the west. I will bring an overlay to
illustrate this.
tIFTIONS : : : :
This is update information. The request to purchase additional
land in regards to the peninsula will need to be on the next
council work session for information transfer.
ON
None at this time.
