!"1
AGENDA ITlM
STAFF ORIGINATOR Marty Asleson
DATE February 1, 1994
TOPIC Pine Ridge 2nd Addition
Please find attached a copy of the Preliminary Plat, Pine Ridge 2nd Addition for
park and trail dedication. Also included is a vicinity map, a map showing a
trail dedication, and a letter from Ted Mattke describing their proposal. In a
meeting that I had with Jeff Schoenbauer, Jeff thought that it would be important
to provide a trail access through the development to the south as well. I have
discussed this with Ted and he stated that Rick Carlson would not have trouble
with this. It was not on his proposal because the discussion came up after the
concept and letter was submitted.
The trail connection on the north would connect into the Ware Road transportation
trail and the existing trail to the west to the park and north as depicted on the
city vicinity map. The trail segment on the south Would be important for
connection through future MUSA expansion and trail connections into the Park
Trail Corridor to the South.
The developer is proposing a cash dedication in lieu of a land dedication. This
conforms to our Comprehensive Plan.
one further note, all wetland approvals have been obtained for this subdivision.
1. Accept the proposal from Rick Carlson for cash dedication and trails as
described.
2. Consider some other option.
option 1, Accept the proposal from Rick Carlson for Park and Trail Dedication,
with trail located on the plat to the south, with a letter that all pending taxes
have been paid off on dedicated trails.
