AGENDA ITEM
STAFF ORIGINATOR Marty As leson
DATE February 2, 1994
TOPIC Extended Hour Winter Shelter Rate
Reconsideration
This was brought to the Park Board previously for consideration.
The Park Board at that time recommended to approve a staff
recommendation to set a facility fee of $15.00 / hr. to accommodate
the use of facilities beyond the normal budget schedule for those
who would wish to do so.
The City Council wanted a more accurate figure to establish a basis
for this charge. The recommendation was made to do an energy
audit.
I met with NSP and reviewed past billings. Please find a break-
down on these findings . As one can see, the actual costs are
somewhat under $15.00 / hr.
We would like a recommendation from the Park Board reconsidering
the original recommendation, and a _change if you think alright.
1. Maintain the original $15.00 / hr. recommendation.
2. Reset the fee on more of a break-even point.
3. other options as desired.
cover our costs and possibly set $9.00 or $10.00 as a charge rate.
'"\
