C
INFORMATIONAL MEMO
August 30, 1990
TO: PARR BOARD
FROM: PARR STAFF
RE: PRESENT STATUS BIRCH PARR DEVELOPMENT
For Your Information;
The present status of Birch Park development is as follows;
The additional land purchase directly adjacent and south
of Birch Park has been approved by city council. The
purchase documents are now being prepared.
Irrigation of the park will be completed by August 31.
Seeding of the park is expected to be completed by
September 14.
The parking lot is expected to be completed, both curb
and blacktop surface, by the middle of September.
The establishment of trails in the park are planned to
be completed before November 15. This will include
blacktop surfacing.
Park staff hopes to get the tree planting substantially
complete this year. Trees have been donated by the Lino
Lakes Correctional Facility, and will be moved with the
new tree spade.
With the time schedule, the park should be substantially
complete by the end of this construction season.
Respectfully,
Don Volk
Director of Public Works
