APPENDIX D CHECKLIST FOR TREE PROTECTION PLAN REVIEW <br /> CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AT 464-5562 FOR A <br /> SITE INSPECTION UPON COMPLETION OF LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION. <br /> 1. Tree Protection Plans <br /> a. Provisions for tree protection on the site <br /> shall be, as minimum, in conformance with the requirements of <br /> the City of Lino Lakes Tree Preservation Section of the Tree <br /> Ordinance. <br /> b. A tree protection plan shall be submitted <br /> either as part of the landscape plan or as a separate drawing <br /> to include the following: <br /> i) All tree protection zones. <br /> ii) Approximate location of all specimen trees <br /> or stands of trees. <br /> iii) Exact location of all specimen trees when <br /> their preservation is questionable, or might result in a ' <br /> change of the site design. <br /> iv) Indicate those specimen trees to be removed. <br /> Removal of specimen trees is subject to City Forester <br /> approval. <br /> v) Limits of clearing and land disturbance such <br /> as grading, trenching, etc. where these disturbances may <br /> affect tree protection zones. <br /> vi) Proposed location of underground utilities. <br /> vii) Methods of tree protection shall be <br /> indicated for all tree protection zones, aeration systems, <br /> staking, signage, etc. <br /> vii) The plan should indicate staging areas for <br /> parking, material storage, concrete washout, and debris burn <br /> and burial holes where these areas might affect tree <br /> protection. <br /> C. The following notes shall be indicated on both tree <br /> protection plans and grading plans in large letters: <br /> A. Contact the Forestry Department at 464-5562 to arrange a <br /> pre-construction conference with the City Forester prior to <br /> any land disturbance. <br /> B. All tree protection measures shall be installed prior to <br /> soil disturbance. <br />
