debark their stumps to below ground or remove stumps to a <br /> depth of six (6) inches below ground level, and shall furnish <br /> and backfill the excavations with sufficient sandy loam soil <br /> to return the grade to the level of the undisturbed adjacent <br /> ground level, and said tree removal and debarking or stump <br /> removal shall be completed no later than twenty (20) days <br /> after receipt of the request or notification from the City. <br /> ( 1) The City Tree Inspector will paint a tree number on <br /> all diseased trees and notify the Contractor as to <br /> which ones the Contractor shall remove. <br /> (2) Upon removal of said trees, the Contractor shall <br /> paint the number painted on the removed tree on its <br /> debarked stump. <br /> C. Dumping and Burning of Removed Trees. The <br /> Contractor shall transport all trees which it has removed to <br /> a location approved by the City and destroyed in a manner so <br /> as to prevent further spread of shade tree disease. <br /> (3) Compensation. <br /> a.
