Mattke Engineering, Inc.
78 West Main Street•Anoka, Minnesota 55303•(612)421-2159
V
February 28, 1990
Honorable Chairman and Parks Commissioners
City of Lino Lakes
1189 Main Street
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
Re: PinyRidge Park Proposal
Dear Chairman and Commissioners:
Enclosed are copies of our proposed plat, and pictures of a part
of the site that we propose to dedicate to the City of Lino Lakes
for a public park. The park site is 7.86 acres in size. Within
the park will be created a pond for stormwater detention,
wildlife, a winter skating rink, and general esthetics. Areas
around the pond will allow some existing wetland to be retained
for wildlife cover, a trail around the pond, and a large open-
space area east of the pond for play activities. Trees on the
east side of the open-space area will be retained.
,. In addition, we propose to dedicate to the City a looped trail
through the development, connecting the park with two other
ponds/wetlands. The trails will be 15 feet wide, and have a
total_ area of 1 .40 acres. Adding the areas together, we will be
dedicating a total of 9. 26 acres to the park system. It is our
understanding that this exceeds the park dedication requirement.
If you need additional information, please give me or the
developer, Rick Carlson, a call. We look forward to working with
you on this project.
Sincerely
'ZZW )_ .
Tedd Mattke, P.E.
cc.
