PARK BOARD MINUTES <br /> February 5, 1990 <br /> Chairman Ray Johnson called the regular meeting of the Lino <br /> Lakes Park Board to order at 7: 00 p. m. on February 5 , 1990 at <br /> the Lino Lakes City Hall . Members present were: <br /> Chairperson, Ray Johnson; Board Members , John Bauman, Candy <br /> Toffoli , Bob Williams , Ken Johnson, and Bill Nissen. Also <br /> present was Mayor, Harold Bisel ; Public Works Director, Don <br /> Volk; Park' s Superintendent, Marty Asleson; and Planning <br /> Secretary, Laura Elken. Member absent : George Lindy <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> Bill Nissen moved to approve the January park board minutes . <br /> John Bauman seconded the motion and the motion was approved. <br /> PARK DEDICATION FOR A MINOR SUBDIVISION, JACK MENKVELD <br /> This is a one acre parcel adjacent to Sunrise Meadows . The <br /> property owner, Mr. Heider, wishes to subdivide and create <br /> three additional sewer size lots . <br /> MOTION: Ken Johnson moved to accept a cash park dedication <br /> of $400 . 00 per unit for a total of $1 , 200 . 00 . Candy Toffoli <br /> seconded the motion and the motion was approved. <br /> PARK DEDICATION FOR DENNIS A. SMITH, SPLITTING A 30 ACRE <br /> r-� PARCEL INTO TWO - 15 ACRE PARCELS. <br /> Don Volk stated that a road called White Tail Ridge will have <br /> to be built in order to create access to the two parcels . <br /> Don Volk explained that much of the parcel is unbuildable. <br /> The applicant wishes to create two 15 acre lots out of this <br /> 30 acre parcel . <br /> Motion: Bob Williams moved to accept a $400 . 00 cash park <br /> dedication for the two 15-acre parcels , leaving a total of <br /> $800 . 00 to be collected at the time of final approval . John <br /> Bauman seconded the motion and the motion was approved. <br /> DISCUSSION OF A SHADE TREE MUNICIPAL TREE ORDINANCE/MARTY <br /> ASLESON. <br /> Marty Asleson discussed a Tree Ordinance used by several <br /> municipalities . He stressed that the city needs an ordinance <br /> of this nature in order to care for trees and vegetation the <br /> way it should be. <br /> The city wants to work with developers to control <br /> construction damage to trees . <br /> Marty asked the board to review this and discuss any changes <br /> they may want to make. Section 3 , pg. 4 discusses <br /> establishing a Tree Commission and Marty felt the wording <br /> could be changed. in this area. <br /> Page 1 <br />
