PARK BOARD MINUTES <br /> December 4, 1989 <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Marty Asleson stated that the City of Dino Lakes recently <br /> approved the Joint Powers Agreement in concept form for the <br /> Greater Centennial Area Recreation Program. The City of <br /> Circle Pines also approved the concept agreement . The Cities <br /> of Centerville and Lexington have not yet approved it . A <br /> meeting with the recreation committee will be held soon . <br /> Bill Nissen asked about park dedication for commercial and <br /> industrial areas that was discussed in October. <br /> The board requested that this issue be discussed at the next <br /> EDC meeting. In January the park board will hear the EDC ' s <br /> comments. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Bill Nissen said the city now owns a chipper. He stated that <br /> after the first of the year people will not be allowed to <br /> dispose of their Christmas trees by way of the regular <br /> garbage service. Nissen suggested that the city offer to <br /> dispose of the resident ' s Christmas trees for them. <br /> This issue will be addressed to Don Volk and Frank Kirk, the <br /> city' s Recycling Coordinator. Marty Asleson will let the <br /> park board know what comes of this request . <br /> The board reviewed the Promotional Video. Their comments <br /> will be mailed to City Hall , attention Laura. <br /> Bob Williams moved to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned <br /> at 8: 03 p.m. <br /> Page 3 <br />
