PARK BOARD MINUTES <br /> October Z, 1989 <br /> Bill Nissen suggested that park board ask for land in the <br /> southwest section of this plat , and ask for land in the <br /> northeast section of Wildwood Estates , and with both areas <br /> the park board could have a nice size park. <br /> There was no person to represent Timber Ponds. <br /> Staff will check the records to be sure that park dedication <br /> hasn' t been claimed in the past for this area. <br /> A trail system also needs to be devised to be tied into <br /> Wildwood Estates. <br /> The board will wait to meet with the developer. <br /> CONCEPT: SUBDIVISION PROBABILITIES SOUTH OF BIRCH STREET <br /> FROM 7TH AVENUE TO LAURENE AVENUE. <br /> City Engineer, Ron Stahlberg put together a map showing the <br /> probabilities of subdivisions south of Birch Street from 7th <br /> Avenue to Laurene Avenue. <br /> Don Volk stated that there is mounting interest on the part <br /> of the residents to subdivide their land in this area. <br /> From Ware Road to the east residents are interested in <br /> subdividing and from Ware Road to the west it is still not <br /> clear as to the feelings of the landowners. <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDMENT "NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ON CITY TRAILS. " <br /> Don Volk spoke with the City Attorney and he informed Don <br /> that a statement can be added to Ordinance *301 . 06 to read: <br /> "Motorized vehicles shall not be a permitted use on the city <br /> trails . " <br /> MOTION: George Linday recommends to the city council <br /> amending Ordinance *301 . 06 to read: No motorized vehicles <br /> shall be drive on any public grounds designated as trails. <br /> Ken Lundgren seconded the motion, and the motion was approved <br /> unanimously. <br /> NORTHERN STATES POWER LOTS <br /> Park Dedication for Reshanau Park Estates and Northern States <br /> Power lots should be scheduled at the next council meeting. <br /> DESTRUCTION OF TREES IN SUNRISE PARK <br /> Seven mature Oak trees were destroyed at Sunrise Park. <br /> PON Destruction was caused by utilities going through the area. <br /> One day before the destruction Mike Hoffman was notified that <br /> the trees had to go as part of the lift station excavation. <br /> Page 5 <br />
