PARK BOARD MINUTES <br /> June 5, 1,989 <br /> Laura Elken, Planning Secretary, will draft a letter <br /> stating that the Park Board recommends City Council to <br /> hold all building permits in Ericksons Subdivision until <br /> the park has been brought to grade as originally agreed. <br /> This letter will state that if this is not completed <br /> within one month from the June 26th council meeting, <br /> Ericksons letter of credit will be pulled. <br /> Don Volk stated that the trail systems in Reshanau Estates <br /> will be put into a gravel state, completion of this will be <br /> soon . <br /> The Apitz property was brought up for discussion. Don <br /> spoke with John McCullen from Centennial School District <br /> about a week ago, and Mr. McCullen informed Don that Mr. <br /> Apitz does not want to sell his land to the school . Don <br /> feels that the city should act on this right away, and <br /> approach Mr. Apitz . Don Volk stated that he feels this land <br /> is in a perfect location for new city offices . <br /> Bill Nissen asked staff to make sure the developers Park <br /> Dedication Policy is given to the applicant as part of the <br /> Developer' s Agreement , and that the Developers attend Park <br /> Board Meetings prepared with their park dedication proposal . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> John Bauman threw out the idea of Lino Lakes having a water <br /> slide, stating that the city could make a lot of money. Wild <br /> Mountain water slide complex charges $12 . 00/day/person. <br /> Don Volk stated that a proposed subdivision is planned on the <br /> north side of Reshanau Lake with easement access through <br /> Anoka County park. Don stated that the park board will <br /> review this plat next month to determine park dedication. <br /> Don Volk felt a need for a park in this area. <br /> Andy Neal talked to Margaret Langveld regarding the contract <br /> the city has with Anoka County regarding police patrol . <br /> Discussion dealt with Anoka County appointing two people to <br /> be in charge of quarterly meetings . <br /> Centerville and Circle Pines have appointed their members . <br /> Next months Park Board meeting is scheduled for July 3rd. <br /> Laura Elken will check with members to be sure there is a <br /> quorum. <br /> 8: 35 p.m. meeting adjourned. <br /> Page 4 <br />
