PARKBOARD MEETING JULY 6, 1988 <br /> Evergreen Trees 5 , 000 <br /> Shrubs 2 , 000 <br /> TOTAL $171 , 150 <br /> The reason for these costs are correlated with the dedicated <br /> park fund. Chairman Johnson would like to see some of this <br /> money used for developing Erickson ' s 2nd Addition. It was <br /> suggested to take this sheet home on the breakdown of costs <br /> and bring it back to the August meeting and start rolling <br /> with this park. The Park Board definately wants to go with <br /> the fire hydrant . <br /> MOTION: George Lindy moved to have sewer & water extension, <br /> and parking lot curbing and bituminous completed in <br /> Erickson ' s park in conjunction with the construction of <br /> Erickson' s 2nd Addition Phase II improvements . <br /> Chairman Johnson amended the motion to include bituminous <br /> area adjacent to parking area and walking trails area be <br /> done at the same time. Ken Johnson seconded the motion and <br /> the motion was carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION: George Lindy said this money should be taken out of <br /> the parks dedicated fund. John Bauman seconded the motion <br /> and the motion was carried unanimously. <br /> PARK GATE SIGNS : <br /> Randy Schumacher informed the Park Board that the signs will <br /> be put up at our parks stating they can call the Anoka <br /> County Sheriff' s dispatch to have park gates opened. <br /> NEW BUSINESS : QUARTERLY STIPEND ADJUSTMENT ORDINANCE 10-88 <br /> The City Council decided on an increase of pay to our Park <br /> Board members of $50. 00/quarter per member; Chairman <br /> receives $100. 00/quarter. 70% of meetings must be attended <br /> to receive this increase. <br /> MORE OLD BUSINESS : <br /> Randy Schumacher directed a question to the Park Baord <br /> regarding: Maintenance of parks - The Council wants to know <br /> what the projection of cost will be for maintenance for the <br /> next 10 years . Where are all these dollars coming from? <br /> The Park Board said it would come from the General Fund. <br /> PAGE 4 <br />
