n <br /> PARKBOARD MEETING <br /> MAY 2 , 1988 <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called <br /> to order at 7: 00 p. m. by Chairman Ray Johnson Monday May 2 , <br /> 1988 at the Lino Lakes City Hall . Members present: <br /> Chairman Ray Johnson , Ken Johnson, John Bauman, Candy <br /> Toffoli, George Lindy and Bill Nissen. Also present were: <br /> Public Works Director - Don Volk, City Engineer - Ron <br /> Stahlberg, Council Liaison - Harold Bisel and Secretary - <br /> Connie Husby. <br /> Members not present: Bob Williams and George Lindy. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES : Chairman Johnson approved the <br /> Park Board minutes of April 4, 1988. <br /> BRADLEY WALKWAY PETITIONS: Two petitions were made out to <br /> the Park Board. One was dated July 1987 stating: <br /> We, the undersigned owners of real property within the City <br /> of Lino Lakes, hereby petition that there be a path <br /> connecting the streets known as Jeanne Drive and Leonard <br /> Avenue, for the purpose of attaining access to the park <br /> located on Leonard Avenue. <br /> The other was .dated March 4, 1988 stating: <br /> We the undersigned are opposed to a bike path, running of <br /> the Bradley Street easement. Furthermore we think the money <br /> would be better spent to upgrade the existing Leonard & <br /> Bradley Park. <br /> Both petitions are legal with Anoka County. A couple people <br /> signed twice. <br /> Harold Bisel joined our meeting at 7: 10 p.m. <br /> There was discussion regarding the walkway, and Chairman <br /> Johnson decided to table this item until the next Park Board <br /> meeting. Don Volk and Chairman Johnson will walk through <br /> the area that is proposed for a walkway and investigate <br /> where the walkway can go. <br /> REVIEW CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT: (Lino Lakes Property <br /> n Lease Agreement) <br /> After much discussion Chairman Johnson suggested Don Volk <br /> write a letter to the school board. The letter would <br /> include the following: <br /> * Long term planning and construction plans <br /> so the Park Board can correlate park <br />
