MEMORANDUM
TO: All Park Board Members
FROM: Marty Asleson
DATE: October 1, 1992
SUBJECT: Minor Subdivisions/Park Considerations
I have placed the minor subdivisions that were in question last
meeting back on the agenda.
I have asked Mary Kay Wyland to address this issue in a letter to
the park board. Since she was a new employee, she was unaware that
the park board reviewed minor subdivisions. She is now aware of
this policy. Also, as Mary alludes to in her letter, there has been
some confusion with minor additions to major commercial buildings.
Our dedication ordinance spells out , for instance, that $133 . 00
shall be appropriated for each 1000 square feet of proposed
building for uses as:
1 . ) warehousing
2 . ) Low labor intensive light manufacturing/assembly/one or
less employee per 1000 square feet of structure
3 . ) Other low labor intensive uses (please see enclosed copy
of ordinance)
The confusion starts when a company such as Northern Instruments
submits a request to build a "garage" onto their building.
Let' s talk about this.
