The August meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called to order <br /> on August 4, 1992 at 6: 30 pm, at the Lino Lakes City Hall by Vice <br /> Chairman, Ken Johnson. Roll call was taken, members in attendance <br /> were Jacqualyn Farm, Ray Johnson, Ken Johnson, John Bauman. Brian <br /> Bourassa was in attendance at 6:40. Members absent were George <br /> Lindy and Candi Toffoli. <br /> The minutes of the July 6, 1992 meeting were approved as written. <br /> OPEN MIKE - No one appeared under Open Mike. <br /> OLD BUSINESS• <br /> Quail Ridge - Marty Asleson explained that this park <br /> dedication had �n t t ark board some time ago. This is an <br /> extension of and is a total of 39. 9 acres. The <br /> proposed park dedication is 3 . acres of usable park land in the <br /> southwest corner of the devel pment,, is <br /> thr-mug the_---.development via--Linear-trail corridor, cul-de sac <br /> acc-es-s_ to---Captain-s_ -Plaee a-nd---a- park-- trail--link--to-_get to the <br /> "island" in the �� tt;hanepy. All 3 .9 acres are high land with <br /> mature trees. <br /> system rom the <br /> n j th t_t'he__c.o=idor-, he-will l wnrk with the DNR on the walk-way <br /> _,�ystP 4, Chi c nntt l r� hP a wnnr7Pn_r_ _ .._g _ extons i nn acress <br /> tie-wetland-. Staff and city engineers agreed that this dedication <br /> is acceptable. Marty Asleson commented that with changes <br /> continually being made with wetlands, boardwalks are becoming a <br /> reality, even though they present a problem with maintenance and <br /> also with the handicapped. <br /> Motion: Ray Johnson made a motion to approve the park dedication <br /> for Quail Ridge as proposed by the developer, and with the <br /> understanding that he (the developer) will work with the DNR on the <br /> walk-way system, and take the remaining dedication (if any) in a <br /> cash dedication.
