AGEND ITEM
MEMORANDUM
TO: All Park Board Members
FROM: Marty Asleson
DATE: April 2, 1992
SUBJECT: Meeti g at Barott Property/Park Grove Development
Please be informed that the parks and recreation staff will be out
on the Park Grove park dedication site at 5:45 pm prior to the
board meeting on Monday night.
The Corps of Engineers has recently changed their wetland use laws
and have placed some restrictions on this parcel of property.
Basically, we are going to be able to mow this park area, but not
too much else. As far as changing grades, this parcel is 3 - 4 feet
above the flood plain. New calculations are being worked on at this
time and we should have them for Monday's meeting. There is a
drainage/settling pond on the west side that will be dug down and
I have been told that this will greatly relieve the ground water
pressures. This area has been "hayed" for many years by the
Barrots and we are told that it is "good ground" .
Enclosed are copies of the last park board discussions regarding
this.
