The final payoff balance through March 1992 is $2370. 00. Ken
Johnson asked about the use of the trailer house. Marty Asleson
explained that the trailer is used heavily in the winter months as
a warming house shelter and could be used for a shelter in the
summer. If summer months do not warrant enough use at the current
location, the trailer has wheels and could easily be moved down to
Country Lakes Park should we have summer programs there. He talked
with George Lindy earlier in the day, and George thinks this is a
good buy. Mr. Lindy suggested landscaping around the structure, as
has been discussed at previous meetings. Mr. Asleson recommends the
purchase also. He feels this structure will help satisfy needs
until a more permanent type structure is up.
Candi Toffoli questioned if there were any additional costs such as
insurance, etc. There should be no additional costs as the
structure is being insured now, and it has electric and an air
conditioner in it. Ken Johnson asked if there would be any city
code or ordinance violations by using a trailer. Marty Asleson
noted that this is only a temporary structure, and is not uncommon
to see this type of use in other cities. He explained that Coon
Rapids uses the trailers a lot.
MOTION: John Bauman made a motion to purchase the trailer/shelter
at Birch Park. The motion was seconded by Candi Toffoli.
