4 D Cl
April 27, 1993
Dear Neighborhood Resident,
You are invited to join an informal informational meeting with
neighbors of Sunset Oaks Park on Leonard Avenue and Bradley Street
and members of the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Board at 6:00 PM
on Monday , May 17th at Lino Lakes City Hall.
Recently the Parks and Recreation Board decided to make it a
priority to upgrade your neighborhood park. The board feels that a
very important part of any park plan is to ask those who will be
the main users for their opinions and suggestions.
Several weeks ago members of our Park Board held a first meeting
with residents in your neighborhood to start the process of
determining the park needs. We learned from that meeting that there
is a lot of enthusiasm and support from the residents. We also
learned that there is a desire for a small informal ballfield and
perhaps a small ice skating rink. These additions would warrant a
new design for the park. Also of great concern and consideration
should be the budget constraints that the board will be dealing
with.
These issues and others you may feel important will be addressed at
the meeting. Come prepared to share your ideas and suggestions with
us. If you know of any other residents in your area who may not
have received this letter, please ask them to join us.
Thank you for your support, I look forward to meeting with you on
the 17th.
Sincerely,
Marty Asleson
Parks, Recreation and Forestry Coordinator
City of Lino Lakes
MA/cmk
