LINO LAKES PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> PROGRAM PLANNING AND EVALUATION FORM <br /> PROGRAM: Adaptive Recreation Programmer YEAR: 1993 <br /> LOCATION: City Wide <br /> SEASON: summer Pilot Program <br /> TIMES: Programmer would work (3) days per week for approximately 22 <br /> weeks or 65 days. This would be about 520 hours. The hours for <br /> this person would vary according with the needs of the target <br /> population. The initial phase of this program would be <br /> organizational in nature, and timed so as not to "dead - end" the <br /> pilot program in the middle of a possible funding cycle. The best <br /> starting time would be the latter part of the year. <br /> DESCRIPTION: This would be a Pilot program to address the <br /> recreational needs of the Lino Lakes residents with disabilities. <br /> Funding for this program would be through Community Development <br /> Block Grant Monies. The initial phase of this program would be <br /> used to organize, promote, and communicate with the target <br /> population, with some initial outcome service program facilitation. <br /> With the success of the pilot program we would ask for additional <br /> support in the following years for CDBG funds. This program would <br /> be in compliance with the governing policies section of our parks <br /> and recreation comprehensive plan. One of the stated goals of this <br /> section states the need to provide opportunity for all community <br /> residents to participate in recreational activities . This includes <br /> persons with disabilities. <br /> INSTRUCTOR: Programmer would have a Therapeutic Recreation Degree <br /> PAY SCALE: $12 .50 <br /> PROGRAM CONTENT: This program would address the integrated needs of <br /> this population of residents by establishing a focus committee <br /> addressing the needs of the user. <br /> PROGRAM GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: To organize, identify, and open <br /> communication with persons with dissabilities in Lino Lakes. To <br /> integrate and mainstream as much as possible, and to program equal <br /> opportunity/recreational experience for the disabled residents of <br /> Lino Lakes. <br /> PROGRAM NEEDS AND IMPACTS: The data is three years old for Lino <br /> Lakes specifically, but the State Demographic office had <br /> the following statistics for the City of Lino Lakes: <br />
