PARKBOARD MINUTES <br /> DECEMBER 7, 1987 <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called <br /> to order at 7: 00 p.m. by Chairman Ray Johnson Monday, <br /> December 7, 1987 at the Lino Lakes City Hall. Members <br /> present : Chairman Ray Johnson, Ken Johnson, Bob Williams, <br /> John Bauman, Bill Nissen and George Lindy. Also present <br /> were Public Works Director - Don Volk, City Planner - John <br /> Miller, and Secretary - Connie Husby. <br /> Members not present were: Candy Toffoli . <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - NOVEMBER 2, 1987 <br /> MOTION: George Lindy moved to accept the minutes of the <br /> November 2, 1987 Park Board meeting as presented. Bill <br /> Nissen seconded the motion which carried unanimously. <br /> KENT ROESSLER/SUBDIVISION - PARK DEDICATION <br /> Kent Roessler reviewed his proposal Lake View Place Addition <br /> that would split approximately 7 acres into fifteen lots. <br /> Kent does not want to swap land for park on this new <br /> proposal. Instead he wants to take his 11 , 000 sq. ft . and <br /> add it to the existing parkland. In addition he' d grade, <br /> seed, and plant 20 trees to the cities liking. Kent also <br /> mentioned that if the city just wants a park dedication he <br /> would turn the extra land into an outlot . John Miller <br /> suggested that lot 1 be made into a larger lot eliminating <br /> the outlot. <br /> Bill Nissen suggested the following: As 25% of the houses <br /> are completed, the park should then be completed. <br /> # Also, Mr. Roessler should provide a walkway between lots <br /> 7 & 8 for access to the Centerville Park, (this should be <br /> a turf walkway) <br /> * He should grade the parkland <br /> * Seed the park and put in 20 trees of 2 1/2" caliper. <br /> This should all be incorporated in the devlopment agreement <br /> between the applicant and the city. <br /> PARK DEDICATION FEES - John Miller discussed this with the <br /> board. <br /> There was much discussion regarding the $160. 00/lot park <br /> dedication fee. According to what other cities around us <br /> are getting for their park dedication fees, we are very low <br /> on the list . John Miller recommended we increase our fee to <br />
