PARK BOARD NOVEMBER 2 , 1987 <br /> The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called <br /> to order at 7: 00 p.m. by Chairman Ray Johnson Monday, <br /> November 2, 1987 at the Lino Lakes City Hall . Members <br /> present: Chairman Ray Johnson, Ken Johnson, Bob Williams , <br /> Candy Toffoli and John Bauman. Also present were Public <br /> Works director, Don Volk and Secretary Connie Husby. <br /> Members not present were: Bill Nissen and George Lindy. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES - OCTOBER 8, 1987 <br /> Chairman Ray Johnson moved to accept the minutes of the <br /> October 8, 1987 Park Board meeting as presented. John <br /> Bauman seconded the motion which carried unanimously. <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT LETTER - DRAFT LETTER <br /> The draft letter for the Chief of Police regarding more <br /> effort on the officers part to open parks up, was okayed by <br /> the Park Board. Chaiman Ray Johnson will come in and sign <br /> the letter. <br /> SCHOOL PARK/CONSTRUCTION QUOTES <br /> Don Volk received quotes from two different contractors <br /> regarding excavations and grading. From Raco Construction <br /> the bid was $16, 200. From Matt Bullock Construction the bid <br /> was $18, 900. Don Volk said he' s still missing two local <br /> bids. John Bauman suggested getting a quote from B & J <br /> Construction company here in town. <br /> George Lindy joined the meeting at 7: 08 p.m. <br /> At this time because of the expense of the bids, Chairman <br /> Ray Johnson made suggestion to ask the City Planner to <br /> purchase some park land. The Park Board would like to <br /> invite John Miller to their next Park Board meeting to <br /> discuss the purchase of park land. Because the Park Board <br /> is waiting for two other bids and will be discussing this <br /> with City Planner John Miller, Chairman Ray Johnson decided <br /> to table this issue. <br /> PARK DEDICATION ORDINANCE <br /> There was lengthy discussion regarding developers doing more <br /> than what' s required in our ordinance. Can the Board <br /> request more of the developer than what' s in the ordinance? <br /> Is all of this legal? The Park Board would like to think of <br /> ways to amend this ordinance. A suggestion was made for new <br /> developments only; we should negotiate for more than what' s <br />
