f'+ June 16, 1987 Lino Lakes City Hall 4 1189 Main Street Lino Lakes , MN 55014 Re: Public Park Board position To Whom it May Concern: I am interested in becoming a member of the Park, Recreation, and Environmental Board. My wife and I are new residents of Lino Lakes as of April 1987. We have built a new home and plan on staying in the community for years to come, as we simply love the area. Since we have taken a great concern in chosing this area to live, I feel it is impor- tant to become involved in the community. As a member of the Parks , Recreation, & Environmental Board I would work hard for the City and it ' s residents. The community needs good parks for all residents and families to enjoy. Good parks also help to beautify the community. We need good recreational facilities to help develop the young people of the community. Facilities where residents and families can get together and enjoy what Lino Lakes has to offer. This is an im- portant part of the community life. Young and old should be able to enjoy it . Environmental concerns must take a high priority on the community's list . Lino Lakes is a beautiful area and care must be taken to ensure that we use our resources wisely. Good effi- cient planning is the key to the future of the community. In a community such as Lino Lakes where development is important , much concern is needed in order to plan for future growth. I would like the opportunity to serve as a member of the Park, Recreation & Environmental Board. My input would be helpful to the concerns of the City and it ' s residents . I am a graduate of St . Paul ' s Cretin High School of 1968. I am a graduate of. St . Paul ' s Technical Vocational Institute of 1972. /'1
