Southwest Quarter and the Southwest Quarter of the <br /> Southeast Quarter of Section Thirty-one (31) Township <br /> Thirty-One (31) Range Twenty-Two (22) , according to <br /> the U.S. Survey, described as follows: A strip of <br /> land One Hundred (100) feet wide , being Fifty (50) <br /> feet on each side of the center line of the right-of- <br /> way of the Saint Paul Water Works according to map <br /> Number 1 of their new extension, recorded in the <br /> office of the Register of Deeds of Anoka County in <br /> Book "B" of Plats on Page 8 , Document Number 5879 <br /> containing Seven (7) acres more-or-less of land . <br /> Vacant properties in Lino Lakes are offered for sale by the City of <br /> Saint Paul (Water Utility) on a bid proposal basis. All proposals <br /> shall be submitted together with forms supplied by the Purchasing <br /> Agent bearing the proposal number, date and name of individual, firm <br /> or corporation submitting the proposal and the proposed use for the <br /> property. All persons submitting a proposal shall be required to <br /> provide earnest money in the form of Cashier 's Check payable to the <br /> City of Saint Paul in the amount of 10% of your proposed purchase <br /> price. Failure of the party awarded the property to complete purchase <br /> arrangements will result in forfeiture of this amount as liquidated <br /> damages. Successful purchaser will have ten (10) business days to <br /> examine the Deeds. The City is not obligated to provide an Abstract <br /> of Title for the properties. Purchaser will make payment in full <br /> after examination and acceptance of title at which time title transfer <br /> will be made by Quit Claim Deed. There are no pending assessments on <br /> the properties. Zoning is Expansion Residential and presently tax <br /> exempt to the City. There are no taxes due or payable in 1986. The <br /> City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Proposals will be <br /> accepted on one or both of these properties . <br /> The current fair market value of Parcel 1 is $19,900 and for Parcel 2 <br /> is $13 , 900. Purchase prices to be considered must equal or exceed <br /> this figure in accordance with the City of Saint Paul Administrative <br /> Code . <br /> The City-County Purchasing Agent shall open the bids. The Purchasing <br /> Agent and the Director of Finance & Management Services or his <br /> designee shall recommend to the Saint Paul City Council the award to <br /> the individual, firm , or corporation submitting the best proposal <br /> based on the use of the property that best reflects the greatest <br /> significance to the general welfare of the public and the future well <br /> being of the community. <br /> If you have questions regarding this Bid Proposal, please contact Dave <br /> Nelson at 298-5317. <br /> Please return a copy of a draft Bid Proposal Form for approval by <br /> Valuations . <br /> 2 <br />
