The City of Lino Lakes is considering major improvements in three components of its park and recreation offerings. The improve- ments under consideration include an outdoor recreation facility, trail improvements, and neighborhood park improvements. But, to proceed with any of these three proposals would require a bond referendum and subsequent property tax increase to provide con- struction funds. I would like to discuss each proposal with you and have you comment on each one. Let ' s talk about the outdoor athletic complex. . . The City of Lino Lakes is considering building an outdoor athle- tic complex, which would include soccer fields, baseball fields, and other multi-seasonal athletic facilities. 18 . So far, approximately nine miles of trails have been constructed. To complete and expand the trail system would require the passage of a bond referendum. If successful, residents of the City would see a property tax increase to provide funds for this purpose. 3
