City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> November 3, 1997 <br /> The November 3, 1997, City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br /> called to order at 6 :35pm, by George Lindy, Chair. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were Kim Sullivan, Joe <br /> Schmidt, Sharon Lane, George Lindy, Pam Taschuk, Paul Montain, <br /> and Betty Piper. <br /> Also present were Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director, <br /> Barry Bernstein, Recreation Program Supervisior, Mary Fogarty, <br /> and Sandie Wood, Recording Secretary. <br /> APPROVAL OF OCTOBER 6, 1997 MEETING: <br /> Kim Sullivan made a motion to approve the minutes from the <br /> October 6, 1997 meeting. Sharon Lane seconded the motion and the <br /> minutes were approved as written. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF RICK DEGARDNER, PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR: <br /> George introduced Rick DeGardner to the other members on the <br /> board. Everyone welcomed Rick to the department . <br /> OPEN MIKE- <br /> There was no one present for open mike. <br /> TRAILS• <br /> Rick told the Park Board that all scheduled trails have been done <br /> with the exception of the trail along Aqua Lane, Lake Drive and <br /> up to the City Center. The city received a grant for this trail . <br /> There was discussion on what it cost, per foot, to pave the <br /> trails . George thought it was $ . 80/sq ft . He added this figure <br /> does not include class V. <br /> OLD BUSINESS• <br /> There was no old business <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> George opened the meeting to a two-way open discussion because <br /> this was the first Park Board meeting Rick attended. This would <br /> give Rick the opportunity to ask questions of the board and for <br /> the board to tell him what has been happening and to say what <br /> they would like to see in the future. <br /> 1 <br />
