Recreation Partnership <br /> Service Requests <br /> Questions and Answers <br /> 9/16/96 <br /> Point <br /> Programs, Classes, activities locations must be located in Circle <br /> Pines, Lexington, Centerville, and must be representative in all <br /> quadrants of the city such as in parks, schools, library or city hall. <br /> Answer <br /> The point here is that the North Metro Communities are indicating <br /> that programming would not be exclusively in Lino Lakes. <br /> Representation, in all quadrants is representative of the mission of <br /> the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department, and in Lino <br /> Lakes the city is dependent on general fund appropriation to <br /> support certain programming. Lino lakes has chosen to fiscally <br /> •-� support the summer playground program, performance in the <br /> parks, and the winter skating/shelter program in the past. Fee- <br /> structured program offerings are dependent on the availability of <br /> adequate facilities. With the consolidation of program <br /> participants, any additional facilities would be welcomed <br /> anywhere in any of the communities. For instance; if we were to <br /> offer aerobics in Centerville and Lexington because the space was <br /> available and unavailable elsewhere, community need would be <br /> met. <br /> Point <br /> Programs should be offered for all ages, interests and abilities <br /> including pre-schoolers, youth, teens, adults and senior citizens. <br /> Answer <br /> The mission statement of the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation <br /> Department states the above point of concern.
