9.
—isk,,,6_
CITY OF
IN KE
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
ffiEffi4303PI.ANLIU3W
DATE: 7/31/97
TO: Park Board
FROM: Barry Bernstein, Recreation Program Supervisor
SUBJECT: YMCA
At our last Park Board Meeting, you, the Park Board asked for an update of the proposed
YMCA building in our community.
Mary Divine, Community Development Assistant, mentioned to me the findings from the
initial interviews were in. The conclusion was that there were not enough large businesses
in the community to lend large monetary support of this project. But, that does not mean
this project is not moving forward. The Community Development Department is
continually meeting with representatives from the YMCA. Brian Wessel, Community
Development Director, mentioned he will be including the Parks and Recreation
Department in future meetings with the YMCA.
PARK, RECREATION, FORESTRY, & RECYCLING DEPARTMENTS
7204 Lake Drive• Lino Lakes,Minnesota• 55014
Phone:612-780-1885 • Fax:612-784-7227
