City of Lino Lakes Park Board Meeting May 5, 1997 George requested that Sandie denote these trails so the transportation trail on Lilac and Laurie can be placed on the paving priority list . He said maybe the city could budget for these trails and have them paved at the same time Gary paves the streets . Gary said he was willing to work with the city. Barry said he will look into this . There was also discussion on the number of homes that will be going into the development (not to exceed 200 homes) , the placement of a culvert to cross the stream (drainage area) . Gary said the culvert would be his responsibility to place. NORTH METRO RECREATION - UPDATE: Barry told the Park Board that he and Randy Schumacher have been meeting with the City of Circle Pines on entering into an agreement for recreational services . Some of the programs Lino Lakes will be offering Circle Pines is T-Ball, open playgrounds, and a few other programs North Metro Recreation was going to do for them. Barry also told the board that the two City Administrators will be discussing terms of the agreement . n Pam asked how long the agreement would be written for. Barry said it can be written for any amount of time, however, the Circle Pines Administrator is looking for a long term agreement . Paul asked if we entered into an agreement with Circle Pines if that meant North Metro would no longer exist . Barry said he thought the 1997 payments had been withheld by the three communities involved and if Circle Pines did come to Lino Lakes, North Metro would no longer be. He also said we should be proud that they are coming to us, we must be doing something right . Barry told the Park Board that he was going to the next Council Work Session to inform them about this issue. Joe said we should be very cautious about doing this . He said a long term agreement would not be in the best interest for Lino Lakes if we are not compensated. He asked about facility usage and additional office and program staff . Joe said it is important to look at the overall picture. .� Barry will bring this back to the Park Board when he has more information. 2
