City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> March 3, 1997 <br /> The March 3, 1997, City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br /> called to order at 6 :35pm, by Chair, George Lindy. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were George Lindy, Paul <br /> Montain, Pam Taschuk, Sharon Lane, Joe Schmidt, and Amy Donlin. <br /> Also present were Marty Asleson, Park, Recreation, and Forestry <br /> Coordinator, Barry Bernstein, Recreation Program Supervisor, and <br /> Sandie Wood, Recording Secretary. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM JANUARY 6 AND FEBRUARY 3, 1997 : <br /> Pam Taschuk made a motion to approve the January 6 and February 3 <br /> minutes . Sharon Lane seconded the motion and both sets of <br /> minutes were approved as written. <br /> OPEN MIKE- <br /> There was no one present for open mike. <br /> TRAILS UPDATE• <br /> Grant: Marty said he basically has the trail grant proposal for <br /> n Elm Street/Regional Park Connection completed. Simultaneously, <br /> Anoka County Parks is submitting a proposal for a trail from Aqua <br /> Lane, north around the west side of George Watch lake past the <br /> Town Center site to the Wargo Nature Center. <br /> Marty reported the City of Lino Lakes has passed a resolution of <br /> support, which he included in the packets, for the county trail, <br /> and Lino Lakes has asked them for a similar letter. <br /> Marty said he is concerned about the timing of the trail and <br /> maybe they could put gravel in for the time being. He is working <br /> on this with Dave Ahrens . <br /> Trail Map: Marty said Brian Bourassa has offered to make a trail <br /> map and he will be meeting with him in the near future . He then <br /> showed the board a copy of the Blaine map and said he would like <br /> the Lino Lakes map look similar to theirs . George said the Trail <br /> Committee is working on trying to set trail priorities . <br /> Paving Schedule: The paving schedule has been locked into the <br /> r-� <br /> paving subcontract agreement for 1996 and Dave Ahrens is <br /> submitting quotes for this year' s overlay projects . The <br /> additional trails have been included in the 1997 projects and we <br /> should be able to catch up. George asked of there is a specific <br /> 1 <br />
