/o f.
TO: Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Board
From: Marty Asleson
Date: January 21, 1997
Rm Snowmobile Incident Report/and Letter
Please find attached two snowmobile incidents involving snowmobile vs. resident. The first is a letter
from a resident that lives on Linda Court.
This resident contacted us late last year with concems about snowmobiles on trails. The only thing we
could do at that time was place temporary trail signage for no-motorized vehiclestdesignated trail at
the trail entry points. As the letter states, this has not helped. This type of snowmobile activity is most
common on our trails everywhere. Snowmobiles tend to stay off the trails after they are plowed. This
,., particular trail on Linda Court is not a plowed trail.
I have followed up with this and notified the Rice Creek Trail Association and asked for their
assistance.
The police incident report involves snowmobile on a drive way, and light glare. I am in the process of
checking if the light glare is from the security lights at the Public Works facility or our hockey lights.
maybe something needs to be re-aimed.
I will check on this.
As the police incident report states, the officer also contacted the Rice Creek Trail Association on this
matter.
0 Page 1
