v, ao. <br /> City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> y` October 7, 1996 <br /> The October 7, 1996, City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br /> called to order at 6 :35pm. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were Betty Piper, Amy <br /> Donlin, Paul Montain, George Lindy, Chair, Sharon Lane, Pam <br /> Taschuk, and Joe Schmidt . Also present were Marty Asleson, Park, <br /> Recreation, and Forestry Coordinator, Barry Bernstein, Recreation <br /> Program Supervisor, and Sandie Wood, Recording Secretary. <br /> APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 4, 1996 MINUTES: <br /> Minutes were not done for the this meeting so they will be <br /> brought to the November 4, 1996 meeting. <br /> OPEN MIKE• <br /> Laurie Mazanec, 652 River Birch Place, came before the Park Board <br /> to discuss the petitions that have been done for the Birchwood <br /> Acres/Park Grove Park. Laurie told the Park Board that these <br /> petitions will be taken to the City Council for their <br /> consideration. <br /> After the Park Board meeting Laurie sent George a copy of her <br /> presentation. This has been included in the minutes book in the <br /> Park and Recreation Office. <br /> George told the residents that the board would take their time <br /> and look at the petitions combine them with their thoughts from <br /> the survey that has been completed. <br /> RICE LAKE ESTATES MASTERPLAN: <br /> Marty said the concept sketches for the joint-use park were <br /> presented to the Rice Lake Estates and Baldwin Park neighborhoods <br /> in August . A master plan was developed by Brauer and Associates <br /> based on the input received at this meeting. Both the concept <br /> review and this master plan adoption meeting were advertised and <br /> letters sent to the neighborhoods . <br /> The options are to adopt the master plan for Rice Lake <br /> Estates/Baldwin Park or refer it back to staff for additional <br /> review and changes . Marty recommended to adopt the master plan. <br /> Jason Anberg from Brauer and Associates was present to discuss <br /> the plan. The primary entrance is located in the northeast <br /> corner of the property off Sandhill Drive. He said the <br /> playground equipment has been changed to 10+ age appropriate <br /> equipment . Seating areas have also been included in the plan <br /> 1 <br />
