Marty said this should be a <br /> request to the council because it is a maintenance and liability <br /> issue. <br /> Marty asked how the board felt about a referendum. They thought <br /> they should wait and see what the survey results are before <br /> talking about this . <br /> After further discussion the Park Board came up with the <br /> following as goals for 1997 . <br /> PROPOSED GOALS FOR 1997 : <br /> 1 . Continue trail development $15, 000 . 00 <br /> (+$15, 000 from general fund) (include <br /> Country Lakes dead-end) <br /> 2 . Wenzel Farm bridge $10, 500 . 00 <br /> 3 . JU3 construction $ 0 . 00 <br /> 4 . Sunrise irrigation (softball & soccer field) $ 5, 000 . 00 <br /> 5 . Trail continuation from Behms Century Park to $ 0 . 00 <br /> N-7 <br /> 6 . Quail Ridge (neighborhood to fund raise for park) $ 0 . 00 <br /> 1997 Total Expenditure $30, 500 . 00 <br /> This will leave a cushion of approximately $11, 000 . 00 in the <br /> dedicated park fund. In addition $46, 000 has been designated for <br /> Pheasant Hills Preserve and $23 , 500 for Behms Century Farm. <br /> George will do a goal statement letter to give to the City <br /> 5 <br />
