Environmental names which may represent the name of animals or trees in <br /> the area. <br /> Only under significant circumstances will consideration be given to naming parks after <br /> individuals and/or organized groups, associations, or businesses. To be considered, the <br /> individual, group, association or business, must have made a significant and exceptional <br /> contribution to the park involved or the community as a whole. Such contributions <br /> should be for recreational purposes. <br /> In addition, recognition plaques, memorial plaques, or dedications, may be placed <br /> throughout the park system at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Director with the <br /> recommendation of the Park Board. <br /> EXISTING PARKS <br /> All existing parks will be officially named as to what they have been regularly referred <br /> to: <br /> Arena Acres Pheasant Hills u <br /> 4 Behm's Century Farm Quail Ridge <br /> Birch Park Rice Lake Estates <br /> Birchwood Acres Shenandoah <br /> Brandywood South Reshanau Lake Estates <br /> City Hall Sunrise <br /> Clearwater Creek Sunset Oaks <br /> Country Lakes Wenzel-Farms <br /> LaMotte Park Woods of Baldwin Lake <br /> Lino Wollan Park <br /> Marshan <br /> RENAMING PARKS <br /> If a group of individuals are interested in renaming their neighborhood park, the <br /> following procedure will be required: <br /> 1. Obtain at least 50%of signatures from at least one adult homeowner from each <br /> residence within the designated service area as determined by the Parks and <br /> Recreation Director(generally 1/2 mile radius). <br /> 2. The suggested new name and the rationale for changing must appear on the <br /> petition. The petition will be submitted to the Park Board for consideration. `-� <br />
