r ] + Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 51 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY ON UTILITY RATES FOR PROPERTIES OUTSIDE OF CITY BOUNDARIES WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes utility system may provide utility service to properties outside of the corporate boundaries of the City of Lino Lakes, AND WHEREAS, a policy establishing procedures and charges for such requests by property owners is necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. The City Council of the city•the subject property is located shall pass a resolution stating that the property can connect to the City of Lino Lakes utilities. The resolution shall state that any delinquent utility bills shall be paid by the city of the subject property. 2. The City of Lino Lakes shall bill the property owner directly. 3. All maintenance of the utility service shall be the property owners starting at the point of connection to the utility main. 4. There shall be a 10 percent premium above all current connection charges and rates incurred according to the Lino Lakes code, as determined by City Council motion. 5. There shall be a 10 percent premium above all ongoing use charges according to Lino Lakes code, as determined by City Council motion. 6. Any connection to the Lino Lakes system shall be subject to a review by the Lino Lakes Public Works Director of the projected water use for the proposed connection site. The Lino Lakes Public Works Director shall find that adequate capacity and/or pressure is available within the Lino Lakes system or the connection shall not be considered.
