r ] + <br /> Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and moved <br /> its adoption: <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 51 <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY ON UTILITY RATES FOR PROPERTIES <br /> OUTSIDE OF CITY BOUNDARIES <br /> WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes utility system may provide utility service to properties <br /> outside of the corporate boundaries of the City of Lino Lakes, <br /> AND WHEREAS, a policy establishing procedures and charges for such requests by <br /> property owners is necessary; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. The City Council of the city•the subject property is located shall pass a resolution <br /> stating that the property can connect to the City of Lino Lakes utilities. The <br /> resolution shall state that any delinquent utility bills shall be paid by the city of the <br /> subject property. <br /> 2. The City of Lino Lakes shall bill the property owner directly. <br /> 3. All maintenance of the utility service shall be the property owners starting at the <br /> point of connection to the utility main. <br /> 4. There shall be a 10 percent premium above all current connection charges and rates <br /> incurred according to the Lino Lakes code, as determined by City Council motion. <br /> 5. There shall be a 10 percent premium above all ongoing use charges according to <br /> Lino Lakes code, as determined by City Council motion. <br /> 6. Any connection to the Lino Lakes system shall be subject to a review by the Lino <br /> Lakes Public Works Director of the projected water use for the proposed connection <br /> site. The Lino Lakes Public Works Director shall find that adequate capacity and/or <br /> pressure is available within the Lino Lakes system or the connection shall not be <br /> considered. <br />
