Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
7204 Lake Drive
C I T Y" -'p Lino Lakes, MN 55014
11111
N KE (612) 780-1885 Fax (612) 784-7227
May 27, 1998
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director
SUBJECT: Collova Addition Development Plat Review
Enclosed is a preliminary plat for the Collova Addition which consists of 2.3 acres. The Park
'^ Board is requested to address any park and trail needs in this development.
Park Dedication
My recommendation is to recommend cash dedication in lieu of park land.
Trails
The comprehensive park and trails plan does not indicate the need for an east/west connection
from Hodgson Road(near Fox Trace) westward to the Woods of Baldwin Park area.
There currently is a trail along the southern border of Fox Trace. An extension of this trail
across Hodgson Road would logically be located along the southern border of the Collova
Addition to White Pine Road. Perhaps a trail could be indicated in the existing utility easement
as shown on the preliminary plat. There would not be any connection to Hodgson Road until the
lots east of the Collova Addition are replatted.
If a trail along the utility easement is desired, the drainage pond would need to be moved
northward.
sw/parkbrd/Collova Addition Development Plat Review.doc
