City of Lino Lakes <br /> Park Board Meeting <br /> December 1, 1997 <br /> The December 1, 1997, City of Lino Lakes Park Board meeting was <br /> called to order at 6 :33pm, by George Lindy, Chair. <br /> Roll call was taken, members present were Betty Piper, George <br /> Lindy, Joe Schmidt, Sharon Lane, and Paul Montain. Pam Taschuk <br /> and Kim Sullivan were absent . <br /> Also present were Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director, <br /> Barry Bernstein, Recreation Program Supervisor, and Sandie Wood, <br /> Recording Secretary. <br /> APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 3, 1997 MINUTES: <br /> Sharon Lane made a motion, seconded by Paul Montain to approve <br /> the November 3 , 1997 minutes . The minutes were approved. <br /> OPEN MIKE• <br /> There was no one present for open mike. <br /> AGENDA ADDITION• <br /> Rick said he would like to add Clear Water Creek Business Plat <br /> under new business . <br /> REFERENDUM• <br /> George said he has reviewed the minutes from Park Board meeting <br /> from 1993 and we need to work together, move forward, and see if <br /> residents are interested. He would like to pursue this with <br /> staff . Paul said this should be looked at and revisited in a <br /> couple of months . George said the 20/20 document and city survey <br /> will help the board work towards a decision. <br /> TRAILS UPDATE - MAP- <br /> Rick included in the packets a memo showing the cost to install <br /> trails . <br /> He said for planning purposes, $15 per lineal foot was the cost <br /> in 1997 . This price included 4" of Class V, 2" of asphalt, and <br /> minimal or no site work (i .e . grading) or engineering costs . <br /> This is for an 8' wide trail . <br /> He went on to say the actual cost of materials for constructing <br /> the trails in 1997 was $ . 76 per square foot for asphalt and $ .25 <br /> per square foot for Class V. This results in approximately $8 <br /> per lineal foot . <br /> 1 <br />
