CIT*LK <br /> OF <br /> INE <br /> December 29, 1997 <br /> TO: Park Board Members <br /> FROM: Rick DeGardner <br /> SUBJECT: Park Dedication Ordinance Review <br /> At the December 1, 1997 meeting, staff was requested to check <br /> with several surrounding cities to compare our Park Dedication <br /> Ordinance. <br /> Enclosed are two surveys . The first summarizes the Park <br /> Dedication Ordinances for 46 cities . The second survey outlines <br /> Park Dedication Ordinances of seven surrounding communities . <br /> Please note Cottage Grove' s Park Dedication Ordinance . As a <br /> general rule, Cottage Grove requires Park Dedication of 10 per- <br /> cent of the gross acreage to be developed; in addition, a <br /> recreational facility charge of $150 per lot is collected. If <br /> there is no land dedication, the cash park dedication is <br /> currently $550 per lot for single family units and $120 per <br /> bedroom for multi-family units .
