COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 12, 1998 <br /> Mr. Tesch indicated this change is to be effective October 12, 1998. He stated that he and Mr. <br /> Rick DeGardner will meet with the affected individuals tomorrow morning and proceed with the <br /> steps listed above if approved. <br /> Mr. Tesch noted the changes will be reviewed in six (6)months. <br /> Council Member Bergeson asked about the cost of the change. Mr. Tesch stated the Council <br /> reviewed the costs of the change at a work session. <br /> Mayor Sullivan stated the change will keep the City under the current budget. <br /> Council Member Lyden moved to approve the change in positions, as presented. Council <br /> Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS -None <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Consideration of Minutes, September 28, 1998 (Council Member Lyden was absent) - <br /> Council Member Lyden questioned page 7,paragraph 5, Comprehensive Plan Update. He <br /> n indicated the minutes should reflect the majority approval. Mr. Hawkins indicated a 4/5 vote is <br /> required for approve. <br /> Mayor Sullivan indicated the minutes reflect the understanding that the Comprehensive Plan will <br /> be provided to the Metropolitan Council with or without a 4/5 vote. She asked that the minutes <br /> be approved and then discuss Council Member Lyden's question. <br /> Council Member Neal moved to adopt the September 28, 1998, minutes, as presented. Council <br /> Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried with Council Member Lyden <br /> abstaining. <br /> Council Member Lyden suggested the question of 4/5 vote be discussed at the next work session. <br /> Mayor Sullivan indicated the Council will discuss this issue at the next Council work session. <br /> COMMUNITY CALENDAR FOR OCTOBER 13, 1998 THROUGH OCTOBER 26, 1998 <br /> Town Center Committee,Tuesday, October 13, 1998, 6:00 p.m. <br /> Planning and Zoning Board,the Planning and Zoning Board will conduct a public hearing <br /> on the Draft Comprehensive Plan,Wednesday, October 14, 1998, 6:30 p.m. <br /> Public Safety Citizens Academy, Thursday, October 15, 1998, 7:00 p.m., Centennial Fire <br /> Hall,#2 <br /> 7 <br />
