Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and <br /> moved its adoption: <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-167 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br /> CONTRACT— LILAC STREET TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS-PHASE 2. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the <br /> Lilac Street Trunk Utility Improvements-Phase 2, bids were received, opened <br /> and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying <br /> with the advertisement: <br /> Company Bid Amount <br /> S.R.Weidema, Inc. $ 94,014.90 <br /> Northdale Construction Co. $ 97,943.77 <br /> Ro-So Contracting $ 115,835.00 <br /> Barbarossa and Sons $ 145,394.50 <br /> Engineer's Estimate $. 110,627.00 <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that S.R.Weidema, Inc., is the lowest responsible <br /> bidder; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,'BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1 . The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract with S.R. Weidema, Inc.,17600 113'' Avenue North, Maple Grove , <br /> Minnesota 55369, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction <br /> of the Lilac Street Trunk Utility Improvements-Phase 2 according to the plans <br /> and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the <br /> City Clerk. <br /> 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br /> bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the <br /> successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract <br /> ,� has been signed. <br />
