COUNCIL MINUTES July 27, 1998 <br /> Mr. Ahrens explained that the construction costs for this project will be paid for from <br /> assessments to developers, Park Trail funds, and from the Street Department budget. The <br /> projected cost split for the project is as follows: <br /> Wear Course Paving $155,210.10 <br /> Trail Paving $ 54,367.15 <br /> Second Avenue $ 25,795.75 <br /> Total $23 5,414.00 <br /> The proposed schedule for this project is as follows: <br /> Council Authorizes Ad for Bids June 22, 1998 <br /> Bid Opening July 21, 1998 <br /> Council Awards Bid July 27, 1998 <br /> Construction Begins August 10, 1998 <br /> Substantial Completion September 1, 1998 <br /> Staff recommended Resolution No. 98 - 115 be adopted. <br /> Council Member Lyden moved to adopt Resolution No. 98 - 115, as presented. Council Member <br /> Dahl seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Resolution No. 98 - 115 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br /> Consideration of Resolution No. 98 - 116,Approve Plans and Specifications and Order <br /> Advertisement for Bids,21st Avenue Lift Station-Mr. Ahrens explained that as part of the <br /> 21st Avenue Street and Utility Improvement Project a sanitary sewer lift station is required to <br /> complete sanitary sewer service to the Clearwater Creek Business Center and undeveloped land <br /> in the area. The plans and specifications for the lift station are complete and staff is requesting <br /> Council approval of the plans and order the advertisement of bids. <br /> Mr. Ahrens stated that the lift station design is designed for ultimate build-out of the sanitary <br /> sewer service area. The lift station will include the necessary controls and monitoring equipment <br /> will be included on the City's telemetry system. The telemetry system monitors various possible <br /> alarm situations and will notify staff of pump failures or sewage high levels. <br /> The project schedule is as follows: <br /> Approve Plans and Specifications July 27, 1998 <br /> Open Bids August 19, 1998 <br /> Award Construction Contract August 24, 1998 <br /> Start Construction September 7, 1998 <br /> Construction Substantially Complete October 23, 1998 Nftwll <br /> 12 <br />
