Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
-. 7204 Lake Drive
CITY Lino Lakes, MN 55014
LLN KE (612) 780-1885 Fax (612) 784-7227
June 25, 1998
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director
SUBJECT: Review of 5 Year Capital Improvement Program
The City has begun the 1999 budget process. I am in the process of compiling the 5 Year CIP. I
am requesting input from the Park Board regarding the prioritization of park improvements. The
purpose of this is to request a realistic amount of funding from the General Fund to continue
general park improvements. I anticipate limiting each annual General Fund request to $50,000.
Please review the attached draft of itemized list of neighborhood park improvements. Feel free
to indicate your priorities for the years 1999, 2000, and beyond while keeping in mind an
approximate $50,000 total request per year. Feel free to add any items not listed. We can
certainly accelerate improvements by using other funding sources such as the Park Dedication
Fund.
Please submit your responses to the Parks and Recreation Department by Thursday, July 9, at
1 pm.
sw/parkbrd/Review of 5 Year Capital Improvement Program.doe
