Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution <br /> and moved its adoption : <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 54 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM MINNESOTA D.A.R.E . , INC . <br /> WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department began teaching the <br /> D.A. R . E . program in local elementary schools in January <br /> of 1995 ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the curriculum, developed by educators, is an <br /> elementary school drug prevention curriculum, taught by <br /> specially selected and trained uniformed police <br /> officers ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota . F,_ R . E . , Inc . was made aware of the desire <br /> for the Li-_c Lakes Police Department to teach this <br /> program in the elementary schools and has donated <br /> $2 , 000 . 00 to the City to defer the cost of this <br /> program, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes <br /> hereby accepts the donation of $2 , 000 . 00 toward the cost of the <br /> D.A. R. E. program and wishes to express its gratitude to Minnesota <br /> D.A.R.E . , Inc . for its donation . <br /> Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 27th day of April , <br /> 1998 . <br /> Kimberl% A.
